Mumma makes…Spaghetti Tart

Mumma makes…Spaghetti Tart aka. Crostata di Spaghetti (and it’s an Italian delicious mess)!
So this week I give you a recipe from Gino D’Acampo’s recipe book – Italian Home Baking, published in 2011.
Hearty Italian cuisine is something that my entire family love to sit down to, especially at this cold, slightly miserable time of year.
Gino is one of my favourite chefs, he grew up in Naples and each dish he serves to the nation includes an infusion of heritage and culture. There’s nothing more appetising than a dish with real soul, story and understanding behind it.
The ingredients of this carb infused Tart include; roasted pine kernels, strong parmesan cheese and baby leaf spinach. These go hand in hand when baking a winter warming, Italian dream.

Initially I thought ‘how on earth can you mix spaghetti and pastry?’, but after eating a slice or two, you’ll realise just how wonderful the two can be.
To make your own version of this recipe you can purchase Gino’s book from Gino’s online shop.
I look forward to seeing your Italian recipes!
