The latest food trend on everyone’s lips  is Freakshakes and they are everywhere! Find out why you need to get yourself down to Maxwell’s Bar and Grill, Covent Garden, London to lose your ‘freakshake’ virginity.

The calorie exploding milkshakes are now a regular at most bars and cafes, and Maxwell’s Bar and Grill expertice lay in over-sized American portions for food and drink; so you can only imagine their shakes…

This is a favourite American diner themed restaurant for locals and tourists exploring the Covent Garden area. Maxwell’s opened in the early 1980s and is somewhere that is ideal for a quick drink stop in London’s West End before heading off to theatre.

Their delicious menu offers mouth-watering dishes such as: Cheesebomb Burger, Beef Patty Sandwich, Chicken Fajitas, Baby Back Ribs and the list goes on, and on and on.

The restaurant launched Freakshakes in 2015 and hasn’t looked back since, with over 20 different flavours on offer. One of the much-loved concoctions is the Pokémon inspired Freakshakes – Squirtle and Bulbasaur. Alternatively, you can choose something that may tickle your own personal fancy such as Unicorn Freakshake, Salted Caramel Donut Freakshake, the Freakshake from Mars and Oreo Cookie Freakshake.

When we stopped by we simply had to get the Unicorn Freakshake (that is taking Instagram by storm) and the Oreo Cookie one. These were so impressive that people walking past stopped in their tracks and took pictures. If you want to lose your Freakshake virginity, you simply have to lose it to Maxwell’s.
