The Autumn Tag

Thank you to the lovely new blogger The Lupie Mummy who has nominated me to do the Autumn tag. I am still fairly new to the blogging community and this is my first time being tagged in a blogger collaboration post, but hey there’s a first time for everything. Find out below what I love about Autumn, and when I think an acceptable time to hear Christmas music is…

What is your Favourite Autumnal Lip Colour?

I adore lipsticks and won’t leave the house without it applied. My favourite is from MAC’s Matte collection – Velvet Teddy. It’s a deep tone beige and stays on for the entire day without having to reapply every two hours.

What is your favourite Auntumnal Nail Colour?

Black. I love to get my nails painted black at this time of year. My best friend has her own business (Rosanna’s Beauty – check it out on Facebook) and I love going to her for a gossip and a pamper session.

Favourite Autumn Drink?

Again, all my favourite autumnal drinks I cannot indulge on this year. My favourite has to be Costa’s Gingerbread Latte (I’ll see you next year).

Favourite Autumn Candle?

I’m a huge fan of candles. So this question couldn’t have landed in a better persons lap. My absolute favourite scent from a candle is Black Cherry. It is spicy, warming but oh so welcoming for all your guests. The Black Cherry candle by Yankee Candle is easily the best candle gift for me to receive.

Favourite Autumn Accessory?

Everyone that knows me will identify bobble hats as my autumn/winter accessory. As soon as it gets below 10 degrees, I will be wearing my famous bobble. Is there any nicer feeling than being warm and snug when it’s beyond freezing?

When is it acceptable to hear Christmas songs on the radio?

I have seen several Christmas TV adverts since Guy Fawkes night has come to an end. I find this a bit too early. I think it’s acceptable to start hearing Christmas songs on the radio and adverts on the TV at the end of November/beginning of December.

Favourite Christmas Movie?

I’m a lover of my old black and whites. So it has to be ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’. If you haven’t seen it then you really are missing out. The moral is beautiful and the story itself oozes festive spirit.

Favourite Christmas food?

My favourite Christmas food has to be when the cheese board comes out, alongside port or red wine. HOWEVER this year I will not be able to indulge in Brie, Stilton or Camembert, and of course the port. Instead, this year I am looking forward to my Christmas dinner, and most of all the cranberry sauce and turkey.

What are you doing this Christmas?

This Christmas I will be surrounding myself with my family and my partner’s family. It’s our first Christmas with a little bump to consider, so I’ll be designated driver for the day (next Christmas I will be tucking into a G&T or two). It will be all about celebrating the festive season in high spirits and tucking into a roastie or two.

What is your favourite thing about Christmas Day?

Forget the greed and gluttony that Christmas Day can often bring. My absolute favourite thing about Christmas Day is simple; family appreciation. No matter what the weather, time or day of the week it is, family always comes together. We all appreciate one another that little bit more. Whether it be just you and your partner or a whole herd of you. Christmas isn’t the same without loved ones. Cherish those moments.
