We all have bad habits so let’s ‘quit that bad habit’. Sometimes they are habits that annoy the living c**p out of our partners. But one habit in particular that is detrimental to health and the amount of cash in your back pocket is – smoking.
AD: Please note this is a collaboration post.

Smoking is something that I’ve always struggled to quit. Since I started smoking when I was 21/22 years old, it’s always been something that has become more and more addictive and something of a reliant for me.
I quit last time for over 18 months, but during lockdown it became inevitable with the stress and anxiety that bad habits crept back in.
Previously, I’d always quit smoking by going cold turkey. I know that many people struggle to quit in this way. So I’ve been exploring other ways to help people that want to quit the bad habit post lockdown.
So…what are nicotine patches?

They have been on the market for centuries and are available in different variants and can be worn or chewed. The nicotine patches are an obvious winner for most because they don’t stain your teeth. They have a funny taste that lingers in your mouth too. They were first introduced by Swedish Match, who started manufacturing a product that did not taste or smell of tobacco.
Whilst they are completely free from tobacco, they contain extracts from the plant Nicotiana tabacum. They ensure that a unique blend of flavours of nicotine and natural fibres can still be enjoyed. The stabilisers are a plant-based food additive that can be used to maintain the consistency of nicotine-free pouches. The pH adjusters help to maintain the pH balance of the product. They deliver nicotine salt derived from tobacco leaves and deliver that desired need for nicotine.
The Pouches
The pouches are really easy and convenient to use, and this is why so many people opt to quit in this way.
To use a pouch, simply place directly under the lip. It will then deliver a smoke-free experience and doesn’t require any spitting out (or gagging at the taste). It’s extremely discreet, so a lot of people who are busy workers would prefer this option, and the nicotine slowly gets absorbed through the gums, which provides a constant supply of flavours for up to an hour.
You can choose from a wide range of strengths, brands and flavours like coffee, cinnamon and mint (if you’re a menthol girl like me then the mint is exactly what you need).
So lockdown is over, and it is time to assess our lives, our health, our regime and routines and put bad habits to bed. I’m not a preacher, and I wouldn’t want to make anyone feel uncomfortable or forced into making a decision that isn’t right for them, but if you do want to make a change for your health or your back pocket then this option may be your helping hand.
