Calling all IRELAND FOODIES! The weather is warming up, summer is in the air and we are gradually coming out of lockdown. So, it’s time to discover some of the very best places to dine out around Ireland.
Please note this is a collaboration post.
We all need a night out, or two in the coming months to look forward to. Plus, it’s a great time to support indie restaurants, cafes and bars. The hospitality has struggled over the past year, and I want to put the spotlight on some of the very best dining hotspots around Ireland.
Why Ireland?

I’ve been to Ireland once and my foodie experience was out of this world. Plus, the food was all locally produced which is a plus. Who chooses a McDonalds whilst travelling the world? Not me, and I hope not many other people too.
Ireland Foodies Guide on Where to Eat:
The Greenhouse, Dublin
“Inspired cooking with the finest ingredients”
The Greenhouse is a two Michelin star restaurant based in the heart of Ireland, Dublin.
The kitchen team cooks with pure passion and is led by multi-award winning two star Michelin Chef Mickael Vijanen.
The customer service is second to none. And you will be sure to be welcomed back with a professional, friendly service for a memorable group dining experience.
Aniar, Galway – (Ireland Foodies MUST)
A fab Michelin starred restaurant located in Galway’s West End. The food is all sourced locally and is influenced by the wildlands, the shores and local producers.
The Chef Patron JP McMahon uses wild and foraged ingredients to cook up cured, pickled, smoking and fermenting treats.
I love a group dining experience, and this one sure sounds like one to do if in the area. There’s nothing quote like local produce being used to make your experience as cultural as possible.
The tasting menu is an immersive dining experience of Irish food through the ages – and is not one to be missed.
Solas Tapas and Wine Bar, County Kerry
“Solas has risen out of the box to shine a light in Ireland’s food culture: this Dingle newbie is one of the few Irish restaurants that gets small plates food service exactly right.”
Who said Tapas had to be Spanish and only enjoyed on holiday?

Seasalt, Cobh
Seasalt Cobh is a little deli and cafe that prides itself on providing seasonal, fresh and locally sourced ingredients in all its menu offerings. Located opposite The Titanic Experience and on Cobh promenade.
You can stop in for a coffee, breakfast, lunch, brunch or perhaps even just a slice of homemade cake.
This deli is family-run, with Ballymaloe-trained chef Jacquie O’Dea at the helm of the kitchen. Her husband runs the front of house, with their daughter, son and other friendly staff.
They offer vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options on a daily basis. It’s definitely an Instagram stop off too – the food is tasty and picturesque.
