The first Christmas gift guide of the year and it’s the 2021 Children’s Christmas Gift Guide. We have carefully put together some of our favourite toys, games, accessories, clothing and delicious foodie items to inspire families of the UK in gifting.

Mouth & Foot Painting Artists Children’s Jigsaw Puzzles – 4 in a Box – £10.50 – available from mfpa.uk

These beautiful puzzles are a great present this year, and also support artists who paint by mouth or foot. This particular set was painted by Elodie Cazes, Netta Ganor, Mi-Soon Han and Sabar Subadri. Each puzzle consists of 48 pieces and is a great rainy Sunday activity.

Six Second Scribbles – £14.99 – available from Amazon

This fun little game is perfect for Christmas competitiveness this year around the dinner table. Each player has one minute to draw up to ten things from the card drawn, but not every doodle will do. To win points, your friends and family must be able to guess exactly what you drew. This six second scribbles game guarantees lots of laugher, frenzy and questionable drawings. You can choose either an easy, tricky or almost impossible card and draw as many of the 10 items on your card as you can in 60 seconds. When your time is up, pass around your drawings, and everyone will have to guess what they are. If anyone guesses right, you and the artist will win a point. After three rounds, the game will come to a conclusion and the player with the most points wins. You can play with 2 players or more and children aged 8+.

These best-selling children’s wellies are great for the weather ahead of us, and of course, for splashing in muddy puddles (which all children seem to adore). Nerf Bunker Battle Zones – Go Battle Set – £20 – available from Argos

The perfect gift for Nerf fans this Christmas. These battle stackers are sized for a quick barrier build to enable a really competitive game for anyone who has Nerf guns at home. They can stand along, stack together or be added to existing Bunkr items you may have. They are inflatable and can be blown up manually or with a pump.

Fruit Bowl – Blackcurrant Peelers – £2.25 for a pack of 5 – available at Tesco

My daughter is chocolate mad, but I always try and limit how much sweet stuff she receives for Christmas. The Fruit Bowl collection is a great alternative, and my Daughter’s particular favourite product is the Blackcurrant Peelers. Not only are they 1 of their 5 a day but they are made from fresh apples and blackcurrants, and squished together to make a creative sweet-like product.

These go in her stockings every year, and I don’t intend on stopping now.

My Squishy Little Dumpling – £10 – available at The Entertainer

These are also another great stocking filler, and because they are a collectible range – you can surprise them with a few different ones. Kids love bringing their new friends to life by squishing and squeezing them till they POP open.

They have totally unique personalities, which makes them all super cute to collect. You can dress them up, shake them, toss them, tickle them and loads more. They have over 50 different reactions and sound effects, so kids won’t get tired easily of them.

My Belle was first introduced to a dumpling last year, and she’s been a fan ever since.

Who doesn’t love a bit of messy play? The Zimpli Kids Galaxy Slime Play kit lets you turn water into gooey, oozy slime, then add the crackle sachets and glow in the dark stars and watch your children play for hours on end. I always either do this in the garden all wrapped up, or in the kitchen with a sheet/towel on the floor.

It’s a fantastic gift for Christmas and parents won’t be annoyed with you either – it’s super easy to clean up.

Make your children excited for their next picnic with this super cute pick-up-and-go style picnic blanket. Inspired from the same collection as The National Trust top on the list above, and features the cute nocturnal woodland creature print to keep all kids happy. It’s made from recycled plastic bottles too, and is a waterproof fabric so there will be no wet bottoms.

The Weather – Pop-up Book by Maike Biederstaedt – £19.99 – available from Amazon

This is without a doubt, my favourite item featured on this year’s Children’s Christmas Gift Guide. It is such a beautiful book, and definitely not one for little hands (I’d fear it would get damaged, and that would be a huge shame). From rain to storms to sunshine to heat, this spectacular book covers it all with beautiful illustrations and pop-up images.

It’s such a high quality book, and reminds me of books I used to read with my Great Auntie as a child.

Peter Rabbit Collection by Blade & Rose

The magic of the festive period with the help of Peter Rabbit – is there anything better?

This lovely collection includes a lovely cream long-sleeve top with festive red neck poppers on the shoulders, with a stitched Peter Rabbit on the front, a pair of festive Peter Rabbits socks and super cute leggings.

Where is Everyone? by Tom Schamp – £10.99 – available from Amazon

This is a really fun little lift-the-flap board book which stimulates toddler’s imaginations. My Daughter is 3 years old, and she absolutely adores the cute illustrations in this book and finding out which animal is hiding where, she particularly loves the duck hiding behind the toilet (because they are shaped the same).

This is another really lovely book to get young ones this year.
