This morning we went on a mission to find the Dream Bright Bear, part of the Care Bear collection at Smyths. We are so excited that the beloved Care Bears are BACK!

The Dream Bright Bear is the most optimistic bear in Care-A-Lot! She’s always there to cheer you on and encourage you to follow your dreams. She knows anything is possible if you try your best and believe!
She’s blue and purple and has a special belly badge that incorporates a heart with wings which resonates with her positive attitude.
The 10 original Care Bears consist of Bedtime Bear, Birthday Bear, Cheer Bear, Friend Bear, Funshine Bear, Good Luck Bear, Grumpy Bear, Love-a-Lot Bear, Tenderheart Bear, and Wish Bear. Later on, additional bears joined them, as well as the Cousins.
Care Bears are multi-colored bears, originally painted in 1981 by artist Elena Kucharik to be used on greeting cards from American Greetings. In 1983, the characters were turned into plush teddy bears. The characters headlined their own television series called Care Bears from 1985 to 1988.
Belle has not put her Dream Bright Bear down since she was sent it, and I think she may have a new favourite plush to cuddle all night long.
So as the Dream Bright motto goes – “Believe in yourself and DREAM BRIGHT”!
