This Romanian businesswoman moved to Los Angeles in 1990 to follow her interests in the beauty world. She quickly found her feet and by 1997 had launched her new brand, Beverly Hills.

How Did Anastasia Become a Beauty Mogul?

Using her background in art and architecture, Anastasia recognised the value of symmetry and geometry within beauty. In particular, she understood the importance of eyebrows when it comes to expression. 

By bringing eyebrow maintenance to the US, Anastasia began the brow revolution which would make her famous across the beauty community. She introduced brow-filling pomade and other products dedicated to eyebrows that inspired American women to maintain their brows. 

Anastasia and her daughter Claudia continued to make waves in the beauty industry by being one of the first brands to introduce the contour kit and lipsticks that contained a non-drying formula. Today Anastasia runs a global leading brand and has a net worth of $1 billion.

The Divorce of Anastasia and Victor Soare

Anastasia met Victor Soare during the 1970s before she became famous in the beauty world. Victor was working as a ship captain at the time and the two quickly became inseparable. After years of dating, they finally decided to get married in 1978. 

The young couple struggled throughout the late 70s as Romania suffered from communism and eventually decided to seek asylum in the United States. Victor was able to get asylum, however, he had to live in the USA for two years before he was able to bring Anastasia and their daughter to live with him.
