Every single morning, I open my phone and play the daily ‘Wordle’ challenge, so this game ‘Word Master’ is right up my street.

We love playing family games, but especially at Christmas when the entire family gets super competitive. So we got sent Word Master just in time to review ahead of my favourite time of year.
This game is suitable for adults and children aged 5+, although Belle is 4 and she still really enjoyed identifying all the letters and practicing her phonic knowledge.
It’s really easy to set this game up, and understand the instructions. This is always a benefit, as I can’t be bothered to try new games that have complicated rules and take 20 minutes to even begin the game.
This game is suitable for 2-4 players, and each player gets given a game rack and has to start guessing the 5 letter word that the host has picked from the topic cards, but none of the players show one another how they are progressing with guessing the word.
For every letter that is placed correctly, the player will receive a green tile (this is exactly like World!), and for every incorrect letter they will receive a yellow tile from the host.
The first person to guess the word – wins that round.
I love this game, and know that my Nan will thoroughly enjoy competing with me on Christmas Day to this one.
