Last night, we were lucky enough to receive tickets to the opening night of Sister Act at Milton Keynes Theatre – and did you know that the film turned 30 years old just the other day too?!

Producers Jamie Wilson and Whoopi Goldberg present the smash-hit musical, Sister Act at Milton Keynes Theatre from 21st – 26th November.
Based on the iconic movie, this glam tribute to the universal power of friendship, sisterhood and music tells the funny story of the disco diva whose life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a murder. Under protective custody she is hidden in the one place she won’t be found – a convent. Disguised as a nun and under the suspicious watch of Mother Superior, Deloris helps her fellow sisters find their voices as she surprisingly discovers her own.
This stage show is one that offers many laughs, lots of feel-good moments and some incredible songs/performances by all cast members throughout.
Sandra Marvin plays ‘Deloris’ alongside Bird’s of a Feather’s iconic, Lesley Joseph as ‘Mother Superior’ and Lizzie Bea as ‘Sister Mary Robert’ – and they are a trio to be reckoned with.
The production includes the original music by Tony® and 8-time Oscar® winner Alan Menken (Disney’s Aladdin, Enchanted), lyrics by Glenn Slater, book by Bill and Cheri Steinkellner with additional book material by Douglas Carter Beane. And the music will get you up, off your feet and dancing and snapping along.
The outfits are as glamorous as you can possibly imagine, and the set changes throughout really add to the magic that is portrayed on the stage.
