Disclosure: GIFTED
Stress can be caused by a number of life challenges such as: juggling simple daily responsibilities, money management, family, friends and even your own health and wellbeing.
I often let stress get the better of me and then crumble, but I’ve found 5 things that have really played a beneficial role in helping me stay positive. I was gifted KalmAssure’s Magnesium Powder and Sense for Busy Lives, and I’ve included them in my list below. They’ve not only allowed me to change my daily routine but they’ve ensured I stay stress-free and on top of my wellbeing.
Becoming a mum for the first time last year was a HUGE challenge! It not only tested my patience but it tested my ability to manage my stress levels. I had to remain calm, look after somebody else and not just think of myself anymore. It was tough, but I had to look at the bigger picture and learn how to cope with daily stresses in a new light.
So in the words of Boyzone: “When the going gets tough, the tough get going”.
Here are my top 5 stress relievers that have helped me manage my stress:
1. KalmAssure Magnesium Powder – £24.50 from revital.co.uk
A good night’s sleep is so important for keeping on top of healthy stress levels. Unfortunately, this isn’t always achievable, especially when a baby that refuses to sleep through the night is in the picture. These magnesium supplements ensured that I slept better during the periods I could, and they also worked as a ‘tranquilliser’ for when I was feeling sleep deprived and anxious.

2. Miaroma Lavender Pure Essential Oil – from £6.99 at Holland and Barrett
This is an essential high-grade 100% lavender oil that is great for a daily bedtime routine. I’ve used it dilated with water as a spray around the house, aromatic massages to relax my muscles and dropping a bit into a bubble bath. Lavender is commonly used to calm an active mind, and it certainly has helped calm my overthinking and panic attacks.

3. Perfect Night’s Sleep Pillow Mist – £20 from neomorganics.com
I reach my highest levels of stress in the evenings, and this is when I often suffer with panic attacks and insomnia. One of my absolute must-haves next to the bed is this particular pillow mist. This specially formulated mist is created using natural fragrances such as chamomile, patchouli and my absolute favourite, lavender. They are expertly blended along with 11 other natural ingredients, and it’s a complete dream smell!

4. Twinings Calming Chamomile Tea – from £1.50 at all leading supermarkets
A lot of people worry that they won’t like the taste of Chamomile. I just tell them…it’s no G&T but it has amazing benefits. If you’re a sufferer of stress and anxiety, this is the bedtime brew for you! Add it into your routine and reap the benefits immediately.

5. Sense for Busy Lives – £6.99 from Boots
When I want to give myself a little boost, and ensure I’m on my A game then I turn to Sense for Busy Lives. You simply add a scoop to a smoothie, or take it in capsule form and it gives you that little buzz you need. It’s been expertly designed to support modern life, to help avoid oxidative stress and reduce that fatigue and brick wall we often hit. It contains a range of essential vitamins such as, vitamin B12, iron, zinc and iodine to help you hit the ground running.

So stay on top of your stress levels and create a new, healthy routine today.
