Firstly, this is not an AD. I have not been paid to write this and I genuinely wanted to write about our incredibly helpful wedding planners, Sunshine Weddings Spain.

I’ve always wanted a wedding abroad, but had no idea that I would end up choosing Spain, or matter of factly, somewhere I had never been to previously in Spain – Marbella.

We began looking on Pinterest, this seemed like a good place to start when choosing wedding venue destinations. It seemed like a whole world of choices, but our first destination of Italy was WAY OUT OF OUR BUDGET and a little too religious themed for my personal liking. So we began to look at other destinations in Europe, and soon come across picture after picture after picture of weddings in Marbella. When choosing a wedding abroad, it seemed only right to start looking at wedding planners to help us with recommendations for suppliers, venues and ease of securing everything. That’s when we came across Sunshine Weddings Spain – and when the first email came into my inbox with an example spreadsheet of how their planning works – I was sold.

We have been planning with them for several months now, and their communication has been second to none. With email after email being sent, and suppliers being kindly recommended, and we have now got to a stage of everything we dreamt of being booked. We are still over 11 months away from getting wed, and I feel like this whole experience is (so far) really easy, enjoyable and exciting – all thanks to our wedding planners.

When we flew out in March, (before the pandemic hit may I add) we were shown around venue after venue, but funnily enough it was the first venue we were taken to that blew our breathe away. It was the venue we had already written off, and we didn’t think it would be right for us – how wrong were we?! We immediately fell in love with the venue, and Steph from Sunshine Weddings Spain was so helpful and allowed us to make our own mind up – we knew that it was the right choice.

Since then, we have secured the venue, the caterers, the DJ, the Spanish guitarist, the florist, the make-up artist, the hair stylist, and the list goes on and on…
