So normally when we meet up with the wider family, we play card games such as Uno, Blackjack and SNAP. However, from today that tradition changes – introducing the revolutionary new emotions card game – 20 Dreams.
THIS WAS GIFTED BUT ALL THOUGHTS ARE MY OWN.
20 Dreams is a brand new revolutionary card game for friends and family, funded by a Kickstarter project in 2020! From 2 to 6 players or more if you play in teams, and for children aged 12+. This game changes the way we discuss emotions with one another, whilst also being fun!
What is 20 Dreams?
20 Dreams is a card game with a 200 card deck.
The idea of the game is to stimulate the right side of the brain which focuses on emotional intelligence and creativity. Using your creativity you’ll make up a dream based off prompts from the cards and get the other players to guess what your emotion of the dream is. The aim is to explain your dream and emotion as best as you can so for everyone who guesses correct – you then get a point. Does that make sense? It’s really simple, and really helps children and adults to discuss scenarios, imagination, emotions and feelings with one another.

How to Play the card game 20 Dreams?
Read the instructions before you play, and get the rest of your players to read as it does take a little concentration from all players. If you want something snappy and quick to understand – this isn’t the one for you.
Dream cards are coloured black and have one image on each in a pop-art character style. These are the story prompts of the premise of your dream you’re going to make up. You have to pick 3 of these to have a storyline to your dream – see my dream I had to explain below.

So I said…
“Last night I had a dream that I heard a whistle sound in the distance. I saw a load of witches fly over the top of my house at super fast speed. I then had to defeat them all by hopping on my own broom, and flying after them, knocking them off and putting myself in danger’s way to save the planet – but I did it. Conquering my fears, a fairy came down and told me that although I was super proud of my feat, I had to keep it a top secret as people wound’t understand what this meant to the world. I woke up feeling….”
My word is brave – would you have guessed that?
White question mark cards are the cards you pick for your emotion when you’re the dream-teller.
Coloured emotion cards are for each player or each different team. There’s 6 different colours so you can have 6 individual players or 6 teams if there were a lot of you playing.

I dreamt I was in my garden trying to get my niece to sleep when she was a baby. Nothing exciting but I did feel a bit sad because shes now three and we all thought she would be the last baby, but about a week later my other brother told us he’s expecting again, with a girl! Maybe I’m psychic!!
Dreams, it can be lovely to have a nice dream. Mine somehow seem to have ex – colleague/s that I worked with a decade or more ago. Perhaps just my wondering how they are doing nowadays :- Especially given Covid 19 Pandemic Lockdown Regulations. Some I would come across on occasion :- Prior to Covid 19 Pandemic.
