There may not be many parties to attend at the moment, but I have a feeling that this summer there will be plenty. The perfect game to take in your handbag is Game Off: Celebrities.

Object of the game?
To collect one card from each game category and make a full set: Body, Mind, Skill, Courage and Luck. Get all 5 cards and you’ve won Game Off – Celebrities.
How it works…
Everyone who is playing gathers around a table, but it will only work if there are more than 3 people playing.
The game then requires people to go head to head against someone who is selected using the mysterious coloured dice.
When you are not playing, you will have to play the role of a judge to choose who the winning person from the battle is.
So who goes first? The person deemed to have the biggest head will go first, they roll the opponent coloured dice, and find out who they are up against. The person with the biggest head then chooses a card from any pile they wish. Read the card aloud to the group, so for example:
“TOM HANKS OFF!
IT’S TIME TO DELIVER SOME WISDOM TO THE GROUP. IN TURN, PLAYERS MUST COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING SENTENCE WITH A PROFOUND NEW SIMILE:
LIFE IS LIKE A _____, YOU NEVER KNOW_____
PRETEND YOU TOO ARE FROM GREENBOW ALABAMA AS YOU SAY THE WORDS. JUDGES WILL VOTE FOR THE MOST SAGELY GUMP IN THE FOREST.”
Both opponents will then GAME OFF, and the winner of the round will then be chosen.
It’s that funny, simple and hilarious.
What are the rules?
It’s really simple, simply…
- Roll the dice to choose your opponent
- Choose a card from the centre
- Battle it out until someone is declared the winner
- Winner will then win the card – and the champion is the first to win a card from each of the five categories
