So the past three weeks in our household have been constant battles with flus and viruses. Last week my Daughter, Belle had an extremely bad chest infection, which resulted in a visit to the hospital. Then this week, I have been battling a stinking bad cold, which has resulted in my nose looking like I’m auditioning for the role of Rudolph. So I’ve decided to put together a little guide for those of you that are also struggling to beat the winter flus.
Please note some of the items in this guide are gifted, but all views are my own.
So here’s my helpful little guide to help anyone anywhere beat the winter flus once and for all…
Beat the winter flu
Lemon and Honey
It’s the most simple one out of the lot, but I can’t tell you how many honey and lemons I have consumed in the past 7 days. One of my fondest childhood memories involves my Nan and my Step-Grandad’s ‘secret recipe’ honey and lemon, which I now have the recipe for – and they always sorted my throat out within a matter of days.

Higher Nature Immune Tablets
AD – GIFTED
These comprehensive immune system support tablets are not only functional but they are delicious too. They are easy to take, simply pop one in a glass of cold or warm water, and drink.
Provides not just immune essentials but 1000mg of Vitamin C and 2.5mg of Zinc, and also Vitamin D3 too.
It’s an easy and tasty way to ensure your immune system is fighting fit.

Halls Soothers Real Cherry
When I was a teenager, I used to buy these as a treat to suck on whilst in lessons at school. I’ve always had a thing about the taste of cherry, so these cough sweets are the perfect thing for when I’m struggling with a tickly cough overnight. I simply sit up in bed, pop a Soother in and let them work their magic.

ColdZyme Mouth Spray
AD – GIFTED
This oral spay is the best for other members of your family to help protect against common colds onset. It is easy to use, and once sprayed twice into the back of the mouth, it forms a protective active enzyme barrier on the mucus membrane in your throat.
The spray tastes minty, and is not disgusting in the slightest. It reminds me of minty breath sprays that people use before going on first dates.
The spray makes it harder for a cold virus to take hold, so as soon as I fell ill, my partner was straight onto using this and low and behold – he has not been unlucky enough to get this stinking flu yet.
