I’m from the generation of people who remember their first ever computer, and what that meant for the family. It was a lot of arguing over whose turn it was to play on the exciting device, a lot of waiting around for dialling up and opening up different apps, but my favourite thing was playing the classic computer game – Solitaire.

I used to love a quick game of Solitaire to get ‘my head in gear’, and although now we have things like Worlde ensuring that we switch our brains on – there really is nothing like a classic from your childhood.
There are loads of different games to play online, but Solitaire has always been a firm favourite. The other card games that I remember being available on the old school computers were: Spider, Klondike, Pyramid, Mahjong and so on.
I’ve discovered that playing games like these is such a good way for me to ‘take a break’ away from my busy ‘working from home’ lifestyle, and gives me a chance to step away from the project I am working on and give myself a much needed brain break.
The best way to play old school computer games is websites that let you play for FREE, with no adverts popping up all the time and a variety of different games to explore.
