The stage adaptation of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is a light-hearted comedy – and when my Grandmother and her friends heard that it was coming to Milton Keynes Theatre they couldn’t wait to attend.

The theatre production includes lots of award winning actors and actresses, such as Hayley Mills (Wild at Heart, Pollyanna, The Parent Trap), Paul Nicholas (Jesus Christ Superstar, Just Good Friends, Eastenders) and Rula Lenska (Coronation Street, Eastenders, Rock Follies).
So for those of you that may not have seen the hit film, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is located in Bangalore, India. It revolves around a hotel which homes six elderly British residents that have chosen the hotel rather than a retirement village back in the UK.
The residents are what this show is all about, and each character on stage has their own individual personality and story. Mrs Donnelly is a particular firm favourite, and will have you chuckling along with the entire audience.
Definitely a show to go and see with the girls – it will have you laughing into your hands, but leaving feeling uplifted and inspired.
It really is THE BEST lighthearted show around.
