I am currently in the process of creating a breakfast bar in our kitchen, finishing off our top landing, completely renovating our nursery ahead of our new arrival entering our life, plus updating our bedroom with some more cosy features. So I have decided to create a bedroom mood board on here to inspire myself and other people who may be in the same boat…

So although we are not currently updating our bed, we are looking at styles, colours and designs that fit in around our bed theme.
We currently have a super king fabric upholstered bed, which is similar to this style:
This style of bed is robust, and adds a beautiful presence to any size bedroom. Our bedroom is quite big so we wanted to ensure that the bed is quite a statement piece in the room. The Hannover fabric gives this bed frame a striking appearance and makes it stand-out. It also comes available in crushed velvet, black velour or grey fabric so that you are not limited on colour palettes for your style of bedroom.
We don’t currently have a bold colour in the room, so have been debating which POP colours go well with green and we have narrowed it down to either an emerald green or a deep-set blue. I’m currently considering a chair in the corner of the room for pending nighttime feeds with little Ms in this sort of style:
No matter what colour palette you go for, I think the best way to theme your room is to work it around your bed, which is why I always recommend choosing the style of your bed first and foremost.
