Vegan Easter Alternatives

So first and foremost I am NOT vegan or vegetarian, but I am an avid foodie who loves to explore alternatives.
Moo Free provide dairy free, vegan, organic, gluten and soya free collections of chocolates, and what better time exploring their range than the lead up to Easter.
So a little bit about who Moo Free are?
In 2004 husband and wife Mike and Andrea Jessop decided to retail specialist chocs online. Mike has always suffered with lactose intolerance, Andrea a gluten intolerance and their son a dairy intolerance, so they put two and two together and created Moo Free. In 2008 they purchased some small machinery and learnt how to make chocolate, and it took them two long hard years but they finally created a dairy free chocolate that tasted pretty damn good. Moo Free was launched in 2010, and they filled a hole in the chocolate industry worldwide. They have since received various awards, including the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2016, The Independent’s ‘Best Dairy Free Eggs’ recognition and earlier this year Cosmopolitan’s ‘Best Vegan Easter Egg’.
So what does their range include for Easter?
Mike and Andrea were unable to buy their son an Easter egg whilst he was growing up as they simply did not sell dairy free chocolates on the market, but now this has all changed.
One of their most popular Easter Eggs the ‘Moo Free Original Organic Egg with Choccy Drops’ I got to try out. This dairy free hollow egg is delicious, and the only difference I could notice was that it tasted more rich and raw than your average high street choice. It comes with a 25g bag of chocolate drops, and is packaged in an eye-catching, animated box that features Moo Free’s character – Mikey Bunny. Perfect for little ones this Easter!
You can purchase the egg here for £3.49
A little chocolate treat this Easter may come in the form of an ‘Organic Rosie Rabbit Bar’. This is Moo Free’s latest arrival and is a 32g bar that is perfect for anybody that just wants a quick treat or snack this Easter.
You can purchase the bar here for £0.75

Some of the other Easter eggs in the collection include: ‘Bunnycomb Easter Egg’, ‘Organic Cheeky Orange Egg’ and the latest egg to the range ‘Luxury Organic Caramelized Hazelnut Nibs Egg’.  These can all be purchased at

As with all of Moo Free’s chocolates, these chocolates are also gluten free, lactose free, casein free, soya free and vegan which is great news for everyone with food allergies or intolerances.
Moo Free isn’t just for Easter! They provide a collection all year round, and even some advent calendar delights! Check out the full collection at
