This award is given to bloggers across the nation by fellow bloggers, and helps spread the word about the growing blogging community. Blogging isn’t just fun and games, it’s a career that many people strive from. It can be your beginning, plus it can also help you to meet lots of amazing and creative new people.
It’s always a great feeling when your blog gets recognised by others, so here is something for other bloggers to be influenced by.
Q&A with Daisarella.com:
What do you love most about blogging?
I love writing and reading. I always have. I always will. I studied Journalism for my degree at University, and that’s when I first started regularly blogging. I immediately found self satisfaction from the fact that people were reading my posts all over the world. It’s an amazing platform for sharing thoughts, feelings, stories and opinions. I will always be in love with the English language.
What do you hate most about blogging?
I really dislike the stereotype that many people have about bloggers. I’ve heard people say things like:
“Oh she’s full of herself!”
“Miss know it all!”
“Oh she’s about to become one of those opinionated mummy bloggers!”
None of these assumptions are accurate. I write because I thoroughly enjoy writing. I don’t write to brag. I don’t write to showcase ‘I know best’ because I certainly DO NOT! I just write because it’s my time-out and something I enjoy. So the next time you go shopping for a break from reality, remember a lot of bloggers just write with a cuppa tea in hand as a way of having a little break.
Has your blog always been the same niche, style, or platform? What has changed since the beginning?
I cover quite a few topics which is why I consider Daisarella.com to be a lifestyle blog. I am writing more about parenthood now and being a Mummy to my Belle.
If you could take a trip to anywhere, where would you go?
I want to be a part of it…New York, New York! I’ve been twice but I just can’t get enough of the city.
What is the ultimate goal of your blog?
To bring happiness, truth and a few laughs here and there. I will also soon be launching my own PR freelancing so this blog goes hand in hand with my career goals.
If you could be a superhero, what power would you have and why?
Time travel into the past. I would make sure I saw Frank Sinatra perform live and I would bump into my ultimate heroine – Audrey Hepburn.
What do you do to relax?
Relax? I don’t have much time for that now. So when I do I … drink gin, take long baths, blog and read. Sometimes all at the same time….
Who is your favourite blogger?
Right now I am loving Father of Daughters. It provides realistic parenting truths and lots of laughs.
Blogging is hard work. What motivates you to keep writing?
To keep my content relevant, up to date and relatable.
What advice would you give to other bloggers?
Don’t write for the sake of writing. Make sure you enjoy writing and connecting with your readership.
I’d now like to tag some other bloggers and I’d like them to answer the same questions I have so I can also see their answers! I can’t wait to read all your answers and make sure to TAG me in them when you post them.
