For most of us that have ever moved house the worst part is the boxing up and transitioning over from one home to another – with no breakages, scuffs or accidents.
We moved in May last year and it was not easy. We did the move ourselves and hired a van, loaded up ourselves and unpacked, but as I had literally just given birth (Belle was just 1 week old) my Dad and Stepmom kindly helped Wes do all the moving. We would not have been able to complete this move if it wasn’t for them.
When we moved last year, it was from a two bedroom flat to a four bedroom house, so we didn’t have loads of garden bits, dining room furniture or different beds to pack up. So this is why we decided to just pay for the hire of a van and do it one step at a time ourselves. We wasn’t moving too far up the road either, so that’s how we done it. However, we have already said that if we were to ever move again then this would have to be completely different.

There is now a garden to consider, three bedrooms, one office, two bathrooms and a living room and kitchen to pack up. So we were having a browse the other day out of interest and discovered The Man Van The cheapest one and it really is impressive.
So instead of just hiring a van like we did the previous time, this service allows you to hire a man and a van for an entire day or however long the duration of your move will take. If you are moving offices or homes in or around London then this option is 100% the way forward. Unfortunately for us we are not in the catchment area for this particular one, but we would certainly consider this method in the future.
Not only does this mean that you can leave the stress to somebody else, but it means that no backs will be harmed in the transition of the move. Wes is forever putting his back out and getting injured, so this is something we are very cautious of moving forwards.

I don’t think there is a more affordable, friendly or safer way to move home – what do you guys think?
