Last night we took Belle to her first ever pantomime at Milton Keynes Theatre, and it involved seven dwarfs, a princess who is the fairest of the land and a wicked Queen – any guesses on the story?

So we have waited until we felt Belle would fully appreciate a pantomime to take her, and now she’s at school and nearly 5 years old – we felt that she would really enjoy the fun, jokes and atmosphere of a Christmas panto. And that she did!
Myself and my husband haven’t been to a pantomime in years, and this one was absolutely brilliant! I don’t think I’ve heard my husband laugh so much since his Best Man’s speech at our wedding.
Everything from the cast, the costumes, the sets and of course, the brilliant jokes throughout will have you clapping your hands, holding your belly from laughing so much and fully embracing the festive panto spirit.
The cast includes Lesley Joseph as the evil Queen, Paul Chuckle as Odd Job, Rob Rinder as ‘The Man in the Mirror’, Aaron James as the beloved Muddles, Dale Mathurin as the handsome Prince and Charlotte Haines as Snow White.
Paul Chuckle will have you shouting ‘HELLLLOOOO’, and laughing along every time he is on the stage. Lesley Joseph is also extremely funny, and although you will be ‘BOOING’ her off the stage most of the time, she is absolutely amazing for her age – and a pleasure to watch on stage. Rob Rinder is absolutely captivating on stage, and is just how you would imagine a Judge to be on a theatrical stage – in charge. However, the person who completely stole the show for me is Aaron James who plays the beloved role of Muddles – he will have you belly laughing until you feel pain in your stomach. He is absolutely brilliant – and both myself and my husband came away relaying the ‘Elvis’ scene – you will know what we mean if you book to go and see the show.
